Glen Lodges, Rogart, Scotland

Only an hour's drive from Inverness, the lively Highland capital, Glen Lodges are an ideal base for touring the Highlands

From here you can fish in crystal clear waters, watch the salmon leap, bird watch, golf on numerous local courses, pony trek, hill walk, sail, swim, laze on sandy beaches, explore ancient castles, cheery towns and villages or just relax during the Summer months in the peace and quiet and unrivalled beauty of an area unspoilt by modern times.

There is a well-stocked shop and post office in the village of Rogart. Also a petrol station and The Pittentrail Inn (which comes highly recommended).

In May and June, the days are far longer than anywhere else in mainland Britain, and in September and October the Glens are rich in oranges and browns and the hills are clad in glorious purple heather.
